How do you know your client’s don’t Twitter?

The Golden Rule is Delusional: People want to be treated the way THEY want to be treated. Not the way YOU want to be treated.

You may know a lot of things about your customers, but you don’t know what each one of them had for breakfast based on what you had in your bowl this morning. Your own behaviors are not a good place to start when deciding how customers like to interact.

Job Seekers Find New Rules Of Recruitment: NPR

It seems like the line between social networking and business is becoming even more blurred, especially in these tough times and high unemployment. But the trend is clear: Social Networking is becoming more important in the hiring process if not a requirement to even being considered.

Blogs and Facebook pages have gone from mere kids’ play to essential
for communicating with employers online. Someone applying for a job in
marketing, for example, will do much better in an interview if he or
she already commands an audience through a blog. People in sales look
better if they can prove they have a broad network of contacts in their
field.

Flock: A remarkable new web browser for social networking.

Internet Explorer has been pretty much my defacto web browser, but since getting involved with this whole “Social Networking” thing, I’ve been on a quest to find the best tool to coordinate all of my online activities–Facebook, Twitter, Picture Sharing, etc.

I’ve tested the Adobe Air desk top applications like TweetDeck, FaceDesk and others, but none seemed to allow the integration of all the services I track. Then I came across a new web browser called Flock. Primarily, I spend the majority of my time on Facebook and Twitter, as it seems these are the two sites that have risen to the top of the heap based on ease of use and the number of people using the services; and a person only has so many hours in a day, so keeping up with many more than that was proving to be quite a chore.
